QUIZ NIGHT FRIDAY 16TH JUNE AT 7.30 PM
On Friday 16th June the club is having a Quiz night starting at 7.30pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the clubhouse just inside the front door on the left-hand side. The cost is £2 per person and there is a maximum of 6 in a team. We do hope as many people as possible can come. Members are encouraged to bring friends. It is a fun evening with Tom (our head coach as quiz master)
Look forward to seeing everyone there. The bar will be open with snacks. There will be prizes for the winning team
INTERNAL SINGLES TOURNAMENT SUNDAY 9TH JULY
The link for the singles on the Sunday 9th July has been sent to members. Please would members read the instructions on how to enter very carefully as it is different to the doubles and done through the LTA. Any questions email secretary@shltc.info. You must be available all day and on finals day on Saturday 22nd July
INTERNAL DOUBLES TOURNAMENT SUNDAY 18TH JUNE (all day)
The referee will be in touch with all entrants by email to let everyone know the timetable for the day. Let’s hope for good weather. There will be no social on this day. You must be available all day as we have a large entry.
DOUBLES BOX LEAGUES
An email went out at the end of last week with how to join these and the rules. Please follow if you wish to enter. Closing date is 26th June and Jan Are Mo will be running the league. Any problems please email secretary@shltc.info and your query will be forwarded. We are not doing a singles box league as we now have a singles ladder which will be started soon.

LAST WEEKS RESULTS- It was a busy weekend on the courts
NORTH KENT
Over 60 men’s Vets lost to Knoll the team was Hessam Khoshnevisan, Rob Thomas, Jon Beaumont and John Fielding.
Men’s 2 beat Willets Recreation away on Thursday 8th June. The team was Mark Plonka, Jack Andrews, Ricardo Pinheiro, Jan Are Mo, Arvind Bassi and Anupam Gehani. Well done to the team.
Ladies 1 lost to Bromley Wendover 1. Playing for the ladies 1 this week were Maria Perfect, Natalie Ali, Ros Mckeown and Diana Roberts.
Unfortunately we were also beaten by Bromley Wendover in the Men’s 1 Match on Friday night, with a number of players making their debut for the men’s 1 team. Representing the club were Richard Fay, Jack Rowland, Francesco Donadio, Lukasz Wisniewski, Anupam Gehani and Jagjit Sahota
Mixed 1 had a great win against Sundridge Park 3 on Saturday. The team was Tom Warburton, Natalie Ali, Francesco Donadio and Maria Perfect, Jan Are Mo and Karen Attard
KENT
Mid Week Men’s Vets beat Hildenborough 3-1. In the team this week were Rob Thomas and John Fielding and making his debut for this team and a valuable asset Mark Plonka and Jon Beaumont.
Men’s 2 won away to Knoll 4-0 the team was Jack Andrews, Mark Plonka, Tim Morgan and Ricardo Pinheiro.
Men’s 1 played a very strong visiting Margate team in the heat on Sunday losing 1-3. Playing were Rich Fay, Greg Lucas, Tom Warburton and making his debut in the Men’s 1 team Oscar Petterson.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
The heat on Sunday didn’t stop the Ladies team playing great tennis to beat Bromley Wendover in the National league competition. Playing this week in the Singles were Ros McKeown, Natalie Ali, Ashling Carroll and Oksana Boklag and then Maria Perfect joined Natalie in the doubles alongside Ros and Oksana. Well done Ladies.
NK Cup – Great News
Shooters are in three semi final matches in the North Kent Cup and all three will be played V Sundridge Park.
The ladies Vets Doubles will be played on Thursday 29th June at home starting at 6.30pm- good luck to Diana Roberts and Ros McKeown.
The Ladies Doubles will be played at Sundridge Park on Monday 3rd July at 7pm – good luck to Karen Attard and Maria Perfect in that match and
The men’s Doubles is a home match yet to be decided so watch this space for the confirmed date. Mylan Roberts and Greg Lucas will be hoping for a place in the final.

-Once the form and payment is received, Adult Members & Over 13 Year Old Children will receive an email to access court booking, which you need to follow if your wish to be able to book courts and book onto socials (please check your junk box).
