April American Tournament & Wimbledon Draw:

Wow! What a turn out today! 30 members took part in our April American Tournament. Thanks so much to all those members who supported a very special day today. Well done to Coach Ron for running such an enjoyable day. Congratulations to our winners Dave Robertson (again!) in the men’s competition & a 3 way tie in the ladies with Libby Tuson, Ruthie Frost & Cate Woodcock sharing the trophy. I hope you like the photos.

Well done to Caroline for organising the Wimbledon draw & congratulations to those members who were pulled out of the hat. Commiserations to those who didn’t get a ticket this year like me! Fingers crossed for next year.

Cake Sale:

A deeply heartfelt thank you to all members who donated cakes & contributed to a fantastic cake sale. The club raised £140 in total to go towards our new clubhouse & I know everyone involved in the organisation of the cake sale would be extremely proud.

Vets Doubles Draw:

A big thanks to Jo Thomas for organising our latest addition to the club. Our very first vets doubles knock-out competition. The draw was made today with some tasty first round matches. Details will be emailed out to all members taking part soon & the draw will be made available to see inside the clubhouse by tomorrow. Good luck to all members taking part.

SHLTC Mixed Doubles Tournament:

The sign up sheet is inside the clubhouse for our first annual club tournament of the year. Our mixed doubles tournament takes place on Sunday 5th May. Good luck to all those members who take part.

Courts 3&4:

Just to confirm courts 3&4 will be painted this week so will be out of action. The remaining courts will be available for members to use. Please note, there is no organised coaching until the first day back after Easter on Tuesday 23rd April.

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend.

Many thanks, Club Captain Phil Layfield.
