American tournament – the June edition
It’s time to bring a competitive edge to our Sunday social sessions with another American tournament. This will be held on the 20th June at a slightly changed time of 14.30 to 16.30
We have capped this at 16 players so if you are interested get in there early! An invite will be sent out to all members
Ladies and Men’s doubles are taking place on Sunday 27th all day. The men’s draw is up to capacity with a few more spaces for the ladies. This may change following the government statement on Monday but members will be informed. Instructions and times will be sent to all entrants nearer the time.
The closing date at present is the end of play on Monday 14th June.

Mixed 1 beat Meopham 1 Team were Mylan Roberts, Simone Korsgaard-Jensen, Max Saunders, Diana Roberts, Mark Sisson and Maria Perfect
Ladies 2 drew with Knockholt Team were Ruthie Frost, Marion Tourral-Hopkins, Julie Cooper and Karen Smith
Mixed 2 beat Trottiscliffe 3 Team were Jan Are Mo, Gail Youd, James McKeown and Tracy Davy

Girls U14 v Catford. Catford did not turn up
Men’s Vets Doubles lost to Oakwood. Team were Matthew Perfect and Tony Millard
U8 Mixed came 4th in the mini box league Team which played at Bromley Performance Centre were Henry Higgins, Albert Walker, Bella Pearce and Sarah Kamau (all making their debuts)
U10 Boys lost to Blackheath Team were George Robbins and Amol Neupane (making his debut)
U12 Boys v Sundridge Park match postponed
Ladies lost to Blackheath Team were Ros McKeown, Korsgaard-Jensen, Marta Powell and Katerina Zashcherinskaya
Men’s A beat Bromley Wendover A Team were Richard Fay, Robert Ratcliffe, Mylan Roberts and Gregoire Lucas. Well done to all the team as this means they are promoted
Men’s B beat Twist Fizz Team were Abhisek Paul, Mark Plonka, Ricardo Pinheiro and Jack Andrews

The clubhouse will remain closed until further notice except for access to the toilet and to put money in the lights. We are looking forward to re-opening the clubhouse at a later date with COVID secure restrictions, but for the moment it will remain as it was in Step 2 of the Government Roadmap restrictions. Regarding refreshments following matches, captains will discuss with their teams. COVID restrictions are on homepage of website.
Spectating is now permitted and the limit is subject to COVID -19 secure capacity of our venue. We ask that members / parents adhere to the Government social distancing rules and the rule of 30 outside.
To be able to access the booking system, social play and the coaching programme from 1.4.21 you must be a member for season 2021-22. Membership is done online through the club website www.shooterhilllawntennisclub.co.uk. Members may bring visitors which they book and pay for through booking. You can only bring the same guest 3 times and then they must join. Membership is NOT done through Clubspark. Please email me if you are having problems. email@example.com
