JUNIOR & ADULT COACHING RESTARTS  FROM TODAY 12TH JANUARY

The junior & adult coaching program restarts today, fingers crossed for better weather than last weeks icy conditions! Wrap up warm.

LAMP ON COURT 3

As many of you have noticed there is a lamp not working on court 3. The project manager for the transfer to LED lights is working with Greenwich Council to gain planning approval, as you are aware this is now always a quick process, so please bare with us. We are ready to go ahead with the change to LED as soon as planning permission has been obtained.

PRESENTATION EVENING – SATURDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2026

An  email invitation was sent last Friday to all members inviting them to this years presentation evening. As usual it will be held at Shooters Hill Golf Club, arrival at 7pm for a 7.30pm meal. Price per person is the same as last year £35.  The guest speaker is Ola Obaro an LTA Independent Councilor & Head of Strategic Projects of World Rugby. To reserve your place, please see the email for the link to the form and details on how to make payment. Forms and payment must be made by Noon on Sunday 15th February.

There will also be a junior presentation starting about 6pm but further information will be sent out to juniors shortly

WINTER TEAM RESULTS

Fingers cross for this weeks weather. Not many more matches till the end of the Winter Season.

NORTH KENT

Mixed 1 vs Blackheath 1 Away Result to follow
Mixed 2 played Knoll 2 Away, iy was 2-2 on rubbers, level on sets but won by 3 games, it was quite a nail biter. The team playing were Neal Tuson, Libby Tuson, Sandra Woodcock and Rob Thomas. Thanks for the team photo.
Men’s 1 managed to play Willet Rec at Home as courts 3 & 4 became playable by the weekend. The team lost 3 championship tie breaks and battled hard, but sadly lost 0-4. The team playing were Richard Fay, Fin Renwick, Shannon Dilges and Tony Millard.
Men’s 2 drew 2-2 on rubbers against Oakwood 2 Away. The team playing were Will Leney, Jason Barkworth, Jan Are Mo & Tony Millard.
Men’s 5 lost away to Ladywell Fields, 4-0. The team playing were Aaron Ruby, Paul Powell, Rob Thomas and Hessam Khoshnevisan.
Ladies 2 beat Crescent 1 at Home, 4-0. The team playing were Romane Pepion, Di Roberts, Charmaine Ooi and Lauren Esler.
