FATHER CHRISTMAS VISIT – THIS SATURDAY MORNING
Father Christmas will visit the Tennis Club with the party beginning at 10am. Father Christmas will roughly arrive at 10.30 depending on being able to park the Sleigh! There will be food and drink available for the children and mulled wine and mince pies for the parents to buy. Members were sent an e-mail about the visit last week, so don’t forget to let us know if you going to join us for the festivities. Don’t miss our most magical event of the year. A further email will be sent today.
HAVE YOU SEEN ELF THIS WEEK?
Elf thought as we had decorated the changing rooms he would help out and do some decorating of his own!
CHARITY TENNIS TOURNAMENT – SUNDAY 28TH DECEMEBR
Daisy will be hosting a charity Christmas tournament on Sunday 28th December from 10am in aid of the Charity HFT, who she will be running for in the Budapest Marathon in 2026. This charity provides amazing support for people living with learning disabilities, helping them live a happier and more independent life.
The tournament will consist of timed matches, with tie break scoring. The format will be a round robin/compass (depending on numbers) so players will get lots of matches on the day. The tournament will be played with yellow balls and both *adult* and *junior* members (*12+*) are encouraged to enter. This is a great chance to compete and have fun, whilst allowing HFT to keep carrying out the vital work they do. There will also be Christmas music, minced pies and some fun rules attached to matches!
The tournament entry fee is a minimum donation of £7.50 to my fundraising page. Entry details will be on the members weekly update email
WINTER TEAM RESULTS
A week of sunshine and torrential rain, so we are surprised we made it through all the matches this week!

Men’s 3 were on the wrong side of 3 championship tie breaks. A tight loss against the top team Sundridge Park 4. The team playing were Jiggs Sahota, Alex Parkinson, Ben Crick and Jason Barkworth.
Mixed 2 lost 0-4 to Sidcup Rec 1 Away on Saturday. They were unlucky not getting a draw, as they lost 2 championship tie breaks. The team were Rob Thomas, Ruthie Frost, Tracy Davy, Paul Powell. This was Paul’s debut for the team.
Kent

Mixed 2 beat David Lloyd Kings Hill 4 Away on Sunday 2-2 in rubbers, but 6-5 in sets, with three championship tie breaks. This was a big match for the opposition as they would have won the league outright if they had won against us. A huge well done to Aaron Ruby, Oksana Boklag, Simon Rowe and Ros McKeown.
Mixed 1 won away against Beckenham 3 by one set. A very tight match and a great come back as we were 2 rubbers down after the first round, with both matches being lost at Championship break, won of which was 12-10! The picture was taken at this point as the team were determined to come back. Captains orders were to win in 2 straight sets and we almost did. Thank you Jason Barkworth for stepping in and making his debut for the team. Romane Pepion, Olivia Flynn and Francesco Donnadio made up the rest of the team, This brings the team to 3 wins out of 3 games so far, with one more to go.
