On this Christmas Week, the Board would like to wish you & your family a joyful Holiday Season filled with peace, love, and laughter. May the New Year bring you happiness and lots of Tennis Success.

FATHER CHRISTMAS VISIT

A magical morning was had by all on Saturday when Father Christmas came to visit the Tennis Club. Father Christmas parked his sleigh over in the golf clubs car park and then he walked over to us carrying his sack. He handed out presents (with the help of Tom & John) to all the juniors who were there. Even Coach Mylan got a present this year and not a satsuma! There were party games, Christmas music, lots of pizza and even more laughter. We hope you all enjoyed the morning.

HAVE YOU SEEN ELF THIS WEEK?

During Father Christmas’s visit, Elf was hiding in the Christmas Tree, did anyone spot him!

LAMP ON COURT 3

As many of you have noticed there is a lamp out on court 3. The project manager for the transfer to LED lights is working with Greenwich Council to gain planning approval. We are ready to go as soon as planning permission is given.

CHARITY TENNIS TOURNAMENT – SUNDAY 28TH DECEMEBER

Daisy will be hosting a charity Christmas tournament on Sunday 28th December from 10am in aid of the Charity HFT, who she will be running for in the Budapest Marathon in 2026. This charity provides amazing support for people living with learning disabilities, helping them live a happier and more independent life.
The tournament will consist of timed matches, with tie break scoring. The format will be a round robin/compass (depending on numbers) so players will get lots of matches on the day. The tournament will be played with yellow balls and both *adult* and *junior* members (*12+*) are encouraged to enter. This is a great chance to compete and have fun, whilst allowing HFT to keep carrying out the vital work they do. There will also be Christmas music, minced pies and some fun rules attached to matches!
The tournament entry fee is a minimum donation of £7.50 to my fundraising page.  Entry details will be on the members weekly update email.

WINTER TEAM RESULTS

The end of the Winter Season is already fast approaching. There are lots of re-arranged matches due to all the recent bad weather. However there is now a break for the festive season, with matches kicking of again from the 3rd Jan.

Kent

Over 60’s Men beat Knoll at home by 4-0. Well played gents, final match of 2025. The team playing were Greg Gadd, Jon Beaumont, Rob Thomas and Dom Scott Malden.
