Members can still book for the coaching courses that start this week. Any non junior members that took part in the Summer Programme are very welcome to book onto the term time courses, but you will need to become a member of the club first.

PRO RATA MEMBERSHIP
September Pro Rata Membership Rate for the remainder of the membership year (31st March 2026). Juniors who joined in the Summer Camps and now want to take lessons during term time, please remember you need to become a member. You can take advantage of the Pro Rata Rate.
Completing membership forms has now got easier. We have had the website improved so you now pay at the same time you complete your form. There may be some teething problems but if so please email secretary@shltc.info so they can be addressed.
TREE POLLARDING
Thanks to Bromley Tree & Garden Care for all their hard work and expertise last Thursday. We are glad all our trees are now in tip top condition heading into the Winter Months.
COURT 3 & 4 RE-PAINTING
Due to circumstances out of our control, the re-painting of courts 3 & 4 didn’t take place on Friday last week. The work has been re-scheduled for today. The courts will remain closed for 5 days once the painting has been completed. Please DO NOT enter those courts.
KENT FINALS WEEKEND
Kent Ladies 2 in Division 7 played Charing Tennis Club yesterday. The team fought hard, with a tie breaker at the finish, however they sadly lost 4-0. It’s been a strong summer with 4 wins and a draw. The team playing were Alison Farrington, Gail Youd, Alberta Bosco and Grace Nieuwstadt.
Kent Men’s 3 in Division 9 played Hildenborough on Saturday, however sadly lost 4-0, after a valiant effort. The team playing were Abel Coolen (stand in Captain), Paul Powell, Jiggs Sahota, and Chib Ejiegbu . I meant to take a photo of the scones that Abel had baked, (as I was there). They looked amazing!
Sun 7th Sept – Kent Mixed 1 played in the Division 4 against Tunbridge Wells. Although they fought hard for every ball, sadly the team lost by just one set. The team playing were Mark Plonka, Charmaine Ooi, Francesco Donadio and Romane Peipon.
