You may have received the news email twice this week if you are on the Parent of Juniors mailing list. This will be the last week we use last years mailing list, everything will switch to the 26/27 e-mail lists from next Monday.
INTERNAL MIXED DOUBLES – Sunday 3rd May
The internal competition is all day on Sunday 3rd May. To enter you must be available all day on the 3rd May and on Finals day Sunday 19th July. The link will be sent out later today.
QUIZ NIGHT – Friday 8th May
The social committee have planned another opportunity for members. A friendly Quiz Night, with a Bake Off Competition and Wine Tasting as well. You can gather 5 friends to enter as a team of six at a cost of £12, or you can enter as an individual at £2, then you will be put into a team on the night. One member of each team can enter the Bake Off, so choose your baker wisely! Also on the evening you can take part in a Wine tasting at £4 per glass, payable on the night at the bar. There will be a variety of prizes during the evening too. We look forward to seeing all you there. The link to book and/or QR code will be attached to todays news email.
ROAD TO WIMBLEDON COMPETITION
Our Juniors had the chance to play in a Road to Wimbledon competition on Friday. The Boys winner was Henry Higgins with Hadley Rowe as runner up, The girls winner was Sara Alimbayeva and Runner Up Anna Putman.
FULL MEMBERSHIP
Please remember it can take up to 48 hours to process your membership even if you have been a member before. This depends on the time of day you apply. If you have not re-newed your membership, you are now locked out of court bookings and lessons.
Juniors you MUST renew your membership if you wish to book onto this terms lessons starting this week.

April till July- VETS DOUBLES 55+ COMPETITION
Thank you to everyone who entered, the draw will be made and further information will be sent out shortly by Jo the fixtures secretary. Don’t forget you will need to arrange your own matches with your opposition, provide your own own tennis balls and book the courts. Fast 4 rules will apply. The final will take place on club finals day, Sunday 19th July. Entry has now closed.
LED LIGHTS ON COURTS 3-6 – UPDATE
This process is still ongoing and sadly won’t be done in early April as originally planned. We have now displayed the paperwork again regarding the planning as instructed by the Council. Fingers crossed we are edging towards good news we hope. We have now been advised by the lighting company that we are in the schedule for June/July, subject to final signing off by Greenwich’s planning department.

SUMMER TEAM RESULTS
KENT
Ladies 2 lost 3-1 away to Sevenoaks 5. The team playing were Ruthie Frost, Cate Woodcock, Jo and Stacey Yeh. Thanks for the photo ladies
Mixed 2 had a very windy tussle with Hildenborough at Home at the weekend. It was 2-2 on rubbers, 4-4 on sets, so came down to 33-32 on games! So Shooters Hill won by one game! Tight!! The team playing were Rob Thomas, Jan Are Mo, Marion Tourral Hopkins and Di Roberts. Thanks for the photo.
NORTH KENT
Over 60’s Men narrowly lost to a very strong Crescent Away on Wednesday in quite hot conditions for April! Playing on clay is always a bit different and take a set or two to adjust. Team playing were Rob Thomas, Greg Gadd, Jon Beaumont and Richard Kershaw. Thanks for the photo gents, as you can see the website is not playing ball with the photos today and cropping them into odd shapes I haven’t asked for, so check them out on our social media instead!!
Mixed 1 won against Sidcup David Lloyd Away 11-1. The team playing were Mylan Roberts, Tom Warburton, Dave, Charmaine Ooi, Romane Pepion and Lauren Esler.
Ladies 1 drew with Park Langley 1 at Home. The team playing were Maria Perfect, Oksana Boklag, Ros McKeown and Ashling Carroll.
Men’s 2 lost to a very strong Bromley LTC 2 at Home 3-9. The team playing were Will Leney, Jan Are Mo, Jason Barkworth and Chib Ejiegbu
