An Easter Egg Hunt will take place. we will have two age groups – 6 and under will take place first, followed by the 7-14 year olds. There will be a £2 fee to take part in this eggs-citing hunt, booking is recommended so we can gage numbers, and to let the Easter Bunny know what he needs to provide.
The tennis tournament will take place from 5-6pm. Each junior will be partnered up randomly on the day and play for 20mins per game. From 6pm parents can join in too. To play in this you will need to register both the junior and parent wishing to join in at a cost of £3 per junior, parents play free of charge. WINTER TEAM RESULTS
Its been all happening this weekend. Kent finals for the Winter season, plus kicking of the summer season already. Thankfully the weather was fine and all games could go ahead…. phew.
Kent
Mixed 1 played Kemsing in the Mixed Doubles Division 4 final on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect tennis conditions for a change compared to the last few months. The tennis all round was of a very good standard. Sadly it wasn’t to be, so we have won the league but not the Shield. Well done team on a wonderful season. Team playing was Francesco Donadio, Mark Plonka, Romane Pepion and Olivia Flynn.
Mixed 2 also played on Saturday, but Chipstead Place 1 in the Mixed Doubles Division 6 final. It was a very strong Chipstead side, so although we won the league, we sadly lost the Shield. Thanks to the whole team across the season, the team playing on Saturday were Jan Are Mo, Ros McKeown, Rob Thomas and Charmaine Ooi. Thanks also to all the supporters, your encouragement was very much appreciated.
North Kent
Ladies 2 had a tight tussel with Catford Wanderers 1 at Home at the weekend. We were level on rubbers, but lost by 2 games. The team playing were Ros McKeown, James McKeown, Ruthie Frost and Rob Thomas.
Men’s 2 played Wickham Park 1 Away, and kicked of the new season with a draw 6-6. A tough game, however an away draw is always good. Team playing were Mark Plonka, Will Leney, Iain Goosey, Jan Are Mo, Jason Barkworth and Jiggs Sahota.
