JUNIOR PARENTS NIGHT

Last Tuesday Dr Michelle Clubb delivered a presentation on ‘How to support your child on their tennis journey’. The presentation was full of practical ways in supporting your child especially when playing competitions. There were numerous questions from the floor many sighting examples from their own experiences with their children playing competitions. The evening concluded with chairman John Ratcliffe giving an over view of the player pathway at Shooters Hill and what was possible in achieving their tennis player goals. An excellent evening all round and many thanks to Michelle for an wonderfully informative presentation.

SUNDAY JUNIORS LEAGUE

The Spring season of our Sunday juniors league finished on 31 May. It was a hard-fought season, with 12 regular players and occasional guests developing their tennis skills, match experience and friendships over 13 weeks of competition. Which stretched from gloomy March to the heatwave May. On an exciting final day with plenty of twists and turns, the league ended with Scott Morris as champion, Hadley Rowe as runner-up and Sam Cooray in third.
Our juniors (and parents!) celebrated with a party in the clubhouse, and some magnificent cups and medals were awarded.
The summer season begins on Sunday 21st June, 4.30-6.30. Please contact Stewart Morris if you’d like your child to join the waiting list or be a guest player. The current age range is 11-13 years.
