Neighbourhood Watch Eaglesfield Park Festival:
Sunday 16th June saw the annual Eaglesfield Park festival which I attended to showcase tennis in the local community. It was a great turnout with the ‘pop up’ tennis courts busy all afternoon. The community atmosphere was fantastic & a special mention should be made to Jenny & Graham Penn for helping to organise the event. A few families were interested in taking their tennis experience to the club which is great for our membership base. I hope you like the photo of me with the local dignitaries!
June American Tournament:
Congratulations to Carol Young & Dave Robertson who came through a string field of 21 members to be crowned champions on the day! Thanks to all the members who supported the event & to Coach Ron Cooper for organising the afternoon. Numbers are really good but please remember we can take up to 24 players so please help spread the word & ask members to sign in before the next tournament.
SHLTC Quiz Night – Friday 5th July 7.30pm:
