EXCITING NEWS

At the Kent presentation evening on Saturday John Ratcliffe, who everyone at the club knows won Volunteer of the Year award and now goes forward to the regional awards. Tom Warburton and Sam Morgan did very well to get be shortlisted but unfortunately did not win their categories. Congratulations to them all, it was a fantastic evening. Hope you like the photo

IT’S HALF TERM WEEK 👧🏽

It’s Half Term Week and there is still time to book. Family and friends are also welcome to book onto the Half Term Courses. The Camp is running from Monday to Thursday from 9am – 3pm. The recommended ages for the Camps are 7-13 year olds. We look forward to seeing lots of our juniors there. Please do remember to bring lots of layers, hats etc, better to have lots of clothes to keep warm than not enough!

SUNDAY JUNIOR COMPETITION

This Sunday the Winter Sunday Competition for juniors concluded. Mr Putman selflessly organises and runs these competitions weekly for all the juniors taking part and their parents who thoroughly enjoy themselves. The overall winner was Theodora Healy but we hope you like the photo of all the competitors

PARENT MEMBERS

Parent members can book a court during Half Term Week if you wish to take your Junior Members to use the courts and burn of some energy during the day.  Don’t forget this is just for the school holidays.

🏆 PRESENTATION EVENING – SATURDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2024 🏆

The closing date was last FRIDAY! If you have already made a booking don’t forget to reply to our email with your meal choices and payment to secure your place!!  So dust of those party shoes from Christmas and get ready for our biggest Social Event of the year. Not forgetting our guest of honour who will be giving out the Trophies, Sandi Procter LTA President, so make sure you have your camera’s ready to take some memorable photos! The junior presentation will also take place earlier in the evening.   

❄ WINTER TEAM RESULTS

Wrap up warm teams, it due to be arctic again this week, if you can believe the long range weather forecast!!

KENT

Ladies 1 managed to play one round away at Bearstead before rain stopped play. We won on sets. The team playing were Marion Tourall-Hopkins, Judi Fielding, Sandra Woodcock and Tracy Davy.

Mixed 2 played Hayes away, they lost 2-2 on Sets. The team playing were Jonny Williams & Gail Youd and Neal & Libby Tuson.

Mixed 1 played Canterbury 3 at Home in beautiful blue skies and had quite a few supporters cheering. A victory of 3-1 means they are undefeated and are now the undisputed winners of Division 4A. Play offs here they come. Well played to the whole team, Francesco Donadio, Simone Korsgaard-Jensen,  Mark Plonka, Diana Roberts, Matt Perfect, Maria Perfect, Oksana Boklag & Viktor Petkov.
