CLUB FINALS DAY SUNDAY 19TH JULY

This Sunday is the Internal Club Championship. There should be some exciting matches. Do come and watch and support our players. There will be a free buffet and the bar will be open. ( Pimm’s available). It would be great to see everyone there and the weather looks good.

PICKLEBALL TASTER SESSIONS IN JULY

We have arranged two Pickleball Taster sessions, the first took place last week, but we have one more to go, come along and join in;
Saturday 18th July from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
We are asking you to book, just so we can gage numbers, however if you find yourself free on the day and decide to just turn up, that’s okay too! The booking link is in todays email to members.

FAMILY SOCIAL PLAY – SATURDAYS

Quick update on the Saturday Family Social Play, we have extended the sessions across the Summer Holidays and to the October Half Term. Sessions will take a winter break from Saturday 31st October, until the new year.

NK CUP MATCHES

Wow, its a finals festival for Shooters, well done everyone.

Women’s Singles – Well done Romane Pepion who beat Meopham in the Semi Finals 6-2, 6-4. Onto the Finals now, which will take place on Sunday 26th July at Park Langley Tennis Club

Ladies Doubles – Well done to Ros McKeown and Lauren Esler who won 6-3, 6-2 on Friday night. They are now ready for the final too.

Ladies Vets Doubles – Well done also to Maria Perfect and Kate Hands who won their semi final 6-2, 6-2. They are also through to the finals

Men’s Doubles – Semi Final will be played tonight at 7 pm at Shooters. Please come alomg and support Will Leney and Sam Morgan represent the club.

SUMMER  TEAM RESULTS

Its coming to the end of the Summer Season, but please do take care this coming week is suggesting very high temperatures again, lots of water, hats and sunscreen are in order.

NORTH KENT

Ladies 1 lost to Bexley 1 Away on Monday evening. The team playing were Maria Perfect & Romane Pepion.

Mixed 1 vs won away at Blackheath the team was Sam Morgan, Olivia Flynn, Will Lenney, Oksana Boklag, Marcel Sclifos and Lauren Esler

Mid Week Vets 2 lost to Bexley 1, by 7-1. The team playing were Hessam Koshnevisan, Aaron Ruby, Ruthie Frost and Sandra Woodcock.

Mid Week Vets 1 drew against Sundridge Park 1 at Home. The team playing were Maria Perfect, Di Roberts, Jan Are Mo and Tony Millard.

Men’s 1 lost away to Sidcup Rec 1. The team playing were Tom Warburton, Sam Morgan, Jason Barkworth, Fred Moreau, Tom Guichard and Tom Churchill.

Men’s 2 won at home against Hayes 1. Sadly the opposition could only come with 4 players. We won all our rubbers. The team playing were Mark Plonka, Jiggs Sahota, Jason Barkworth, Jan Are Mo, Lee Cao, Tom G and Mark Plonka.

 

KENT

Ladies 2  lost to a strong  Whitstable side. There was a close championship tie breaker for the 1’s. The team playing were Stacey Yeh, Jenna Dirksen, Sandra Woodcock and Lasyk Grice. Thanks for such a lovely photo ladies.

Men’s 4 lost away to Trottiscliffe, the team was Paul Powell, Fred Moreau, Max Powell and James Mckeown.
