Monday 24th June
  Men’s Singles Semi Finals vs Sundridge Park got postponed to Saturday 29th June. Sadly our Greg lost and doesn’t now go through to the finals. Great effort Gregg, we are proud of you.

Monday 1st July at 7.00pm, Ros & Oksana represent us in the Ladies Doubles vs Crescent at home.

Friday 5th July at 7pm Natalie will play in the Ladies Singles vs Bromley Wendover, at home.

Saturday 6th July at 4.oopm, Maria & Karen will play in the Ladies Vets Doubles vs Bexley at home.

JUNIOR SUMMER CAMPS

Wow, its almost the kids summer holidays. Tom has put all the dates up on his pages on Clubspark, so you can be super organised and book now. As usual you can book a day or the whole week (4 days). Camps will be happening for five weeks across the holidays And you can of course have non members, family and friends book too. The link to the page is as follows;

WALKING TENNIS‍ SESSIONS

Want to play tennis still but at a slower pace, recovering from injury or are you a complete beginner wanting a bit more time and practice in a supportive setting? Come and try Walking Tennis with us and bring a friend. It’s a slower game, where the ball can bounce twice, there is no jumping or running and you play with modified equipment. Sessions are on Tuesdays at 12noon till 13.00. £3 for members and £5 for non members. Go to Tom’s page on Clubspark to book a place:

JACK PETCHEY FOUNDATION

We had the below  email from the Jack Petchey Foundation last week and have sent the club’s condolences to them.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the recent death of Sir Jack Petchey CBE, founder of the Jack Petchey Foundation. Sir Jack passed away peacefully in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 27 June. He will be greatly missed by friends, family and the many young people, teachers and leaders whose lives have been impacted by Sir Jack’s vision and the work of his Foundation.

We want to reassure you that the Jack Petchey Foundation, and all associated programmes including our Achievement Award Scheme and partnerships, will continue as Sir Jack’s living legacy. Please keep an eye on our email communications for all important updates and information regarding our programmes”.

Mixed 1 won 8-4 against Blackheath 1 Away. The team playing were Mark Plonka, Francesco Donadio, Karen Attard & Oksana Boklag.

Ladies 1 Beat Bromley Wendover at Home. The ladies playing were Natalie Ali, Ashling Carroll, Maria Perfect & Karen Attard.

Ladies 2 beat Oakwood Away 6-2. Great result ladies. Those playing were Oksana Boklag, Gail Youd, Ashling Carroll & Marion Tourral-Hopkins. Fab picture too, thank you.

Over 60’s Men’s vs Herne Bay Away – Postponed till later in the season.

Mixed 2 vs Bexley 2 at Home. It was a 2-2 draw, but we lost on games 34-35, a really close match. The team playing were Row McKeown, James McKeown, Rob Thomas & Gail Youd.

Men’s 1 lost 3-1 Away to David Lloyd Kings Hill 2. The team playing were Fin Renwick, Lee Cao, Jiggs Sahota & Dave Robertson. Thanks to Dave & Jiggs for stepping in at the 11th hour, much appreciated.

Men’s 3 lost 5-4 on sets to Beckenham 5 Away on Sunday. Team playing were Tony Millard, Sam Morgan, Jiggs Sahota & Fred Moreau

National League

U12 Girls vs Multiple Clubs at Oakwood

Men’s 1 defeated Meopham 4/2. What a marathon of a match. The team playing were Richard Fay, Rob Ratcliffe, Finn Renwick & Mylan Roberts. Hope you like the picture.
