Kent Open Day – Family Cup:
It was a great turnout at the Kent Open Day at Oakwood Tennis Club with glorious sunshine to help! 4 pairs from Shooters Hill LTC took part in the Family Cup with Mark Morgan and his son Samuel winning the whole event! What an achievement! Mark & Samuel beat the runners up in the semi final and then the holders in the final 10-1! Go Shooters! I hope you like the photo.
The University of Greenwich Freshers’ Fair:
It was another successful push at the Freshers’ Fair with over 30 students showing an interest in taking up tennis at the uni courts on Wednesday afternoons. Thanks to John, Caroline & Coach Dave for popping down to keep me company and to show off their keepy up skills!
Friday Night Competition 5-7pm:
Another great turnout with 9 junior members taking part in a tie break round robin format. Some of the tennis was fantastic and all the juniors took it in turns to umpire matches as well. Our winners on the night were Deji and George! Well done to both. I hope you like the photo! This Friday is our slightly older competition for players with a 10.1/9.2/9.1 rating. If you are interested please let me know asap.
