Summer Ball – Tickets now available!
Our Summer Ball takes place on 10th September this year. Included this year is a live band (the fantastic Oliver Twist), music, and a buffet. Tickets cost £25. Last year’s first ever Summer Ball was a great success, so this is another great opportunity for all people associated with the club to get together and celebrate another fantastic ‘Summer of Tennis’ at Shooters Hill Tennis Club. Our social secretary Phil Smith (see below for details) is the primary contact for purchasing tickets and answering any queries you might have but feel free to ask other Directors also in Phil’s absence.

Well done to all members who represented the club over the weekend. Very successful! More mid week this week and over the weekend. Please keep checking the fixture list inside the clubhouse and on the website to avoid turning up to the club and being disappointed if no courts are available.
SHLTC Open Day: This was an extremely successful day with lots of new people trying out tennis for the first time at the club. We even got a few new members from it! Well done to the coaching team who did a great job at welcoming everyone and making the sessions so much fun. Thanks to the Board of Directors and all members/parents who helped out on the day. It was great to see all the courts in action for juniors and adults to enjoy.
Wimbledon Ball: John and Caroline Ratcliffe were invited to attend the annual Wimbledon ball at the Hurlingham Club in recognition of all their hard work they do at the club and within the local area for Kent LTA. Marcus Willis was present and was extremely lucky to meet John himself! John had a long chat with Marcus and offered him the chance to come along to the club to view our new decking and to offer some of our junior members some tips on his recent success at SW19!
See you all soon.
Many thanks,
Club Captain
Phil Layfield.
