SINGLES COMPEITION

Amazing turn out yesterday for the Men’s and Ladies singles club championships. Due to the number of entries and the extreme heat the competition only reached the end of the quarter final stage in the men’s competition. We will be playing the semi finals on another day. The ladies competition was completed up to the semi final stage. The finalist taking to the courts on Saturday 23rd July will be :-

Main draw Ros Mckeown V Daisy Rowland and in the Plate  Gail Youd  V Christina Alexandra Trifan

DEMENTIA UK TENNIS-A-THON – 17th JULY 2022 

Please come along on on the day anytime between 7am – 7pm to join in the Tennis-a-thon. Helping the Morgan Family ensure tennis is being played on Court 1 for 12 hours. All ages and abilities are welcome to play or watch or just encourage the players. There will be drinks and a plenty of Cake. There will be opportunities to donate throughout the day, or via the Just Giving Link at anytime. We aim to have lots of fun and raise money for a great cause

MEMBERSHIPS:  Please remember, Juniors and Adults attending the coaching programme MUST be members. This is for insurance and safeguarding purposes. Remember membership is through our club website and NOT Club Spark. The username and password are NOTHING TO DO WITH CLUB SPARK OR THE LTA! THIS WEEKS TEAM RESULTS

NK RESULTS 

Mens 1 – beat Bexley 1, 4-1. The team were Robert Ratcliffe, Richard Fay, Greg Lucas Mylan Roberts, Max Saunders & Oscar Brazys.

Mid Week Vets – beat Blackheath 1, 3-1 well done to Maria Perfect, Karen Attard, David Harild & Tony Millard, Great to have David back in the team again.

Mens 1 – beat Park Langley 5-0. Awesome result, well played Robert Ratcliffe, Richard Fay, Greg Lucas , Mylan Roberts, Mark Sisson & Finn Renwick.

KENT RESULTS
Mixed 1 – won against Bromley Wendover by just one game. Played at home, in glorious sunshine. This puts the team in third spot in Division 3B. 2 wins & 2 defeats, however the two defeats both ended on 2-2 on the rubbers
Well done to Maria Perfect, Francesco Donadio Diana Roberts  & Ricardo Pinheiro who played in this match.
Targeting promotion for next Summer!
Mixed 2 – lost to Trottiscliffe, we were on the wrong side of 3 tie breaks. Well played Jan Are Mo, Gail Youd, Ruthie Frost & Rob Thomas.

BOX LEAGUES

Box leagues for the doubles are now in progress to finish the 31st of July. Also, there is the late entries singles box league. Please could members try to play and complete their matches before then.

EASY FUNDRAISING: DO YOU SHOP ONLINE? DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN HELP US RAISE FUNDS!

Last month from our members online shopping we have raised over £30 which is amazing. The donations are starting to mount up & we are well on our way to purchasing some new seat cushions for the benches. There are lots of double points offers on this week, so do take a look if you are ordering online, especially  if you are booking a summer holiday, lots of the holiday companies are offering double points. We now have almost 50 people signed up to raise for our cause, so thank you for helping us fund raise as you do your shopping.
