We are pleased to announce an agreement has been made to use the 5 tennis courts at the University of Greenwich Avery Hill Campus for this membership year. Full details are in the club’s update email to members sent this week

EARLYBIRD MEMBERSHIPS: WOW that was a busy week of Earlybird membership renewals. Thank you for your patience as some days we were processing 50 memberships!!        (about 350 to date).We are now up to date with applications submitted. It you haven’t renewed your membership it’s not too late, but remember membership is through our club website and NOT Club Spark. The username and password are NOTHING TO DO WITH CLUB SPARK OR THE LTA! If you have forgotten your username please email secretary@shltc.info

Anyone who has not renewed their membership will now not have access to bookings, access to the coaching programme or box leagues. Please remember it takes at least 24hrs to activate membership.

NB: We will continue to keep all members on the mailing list for one more week and then we will go over to the new mailing list

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP  1. Go to shootershilllawntennisclub.co.uk 2. Go to top right hand side of the screen to click on the menu, then choose ‘Memberships’ 3. On this page, all fee’s are explained as you scroll down the page. However at the top of the page, there are two Green ‘bars’. The first one is for NEW members, the second one is for EXISTING members. Click on the one relevant to you. 4. This page then lists all the membership types, click the ‘SELECT’ green button on the righthand side of the screen, next to the membership type right for you. 5. This page requires all your contact details. The RED box, gives you the payment details for BACS payments and cheque’s, but this happens before you submit the form, so please take a note of the details.

NEXT AMERICAN TOURNAMENT: The date for next month will be advertised soon.

SUMMER TEAM CAPTAINS & TEAMS Summer fixtures have now started, so please do remember you will not be eligible to play if you haven’t renewed your membership yet!!!

NK 

Ladies 1 – beat Wickham Park 1, 4-0. Well done to Maria Perfect, Karen Attard, Ros McKeown & Diana Roberts

Ladies 2 – beat Meopham 2, also 4-0. The ladies who battled the sunshine & snow were Oksana Boklag, Ekaterina Zashcherinskaya, Marion Tourral- Hopkins & Ruthie Frost.

Mixed – lost 1.5 to 4.5 to Bromley Wendover 1. The team that fought valiantly were Mark Sisson, Ros McKeown, Jan Are Mo, Diana Roberts, Tony Millard & Oksana Boklag

NK Cup Ladies – 1st round beat Sidcup Rec 6-1, 6-3, well done Maria Perfect & Karen Attard.

KENT

Mens 1 lost 3-1 to Bromley LTC. The team was Rob Ratcliffe, Rich Fay, Finn Renwick & Mark Sisson.

Mens 3 beat Bearstead 4, 4-0. Well done to Tony Millard, Jan Are Mo, Aaron Ruby & Rob Thomas.

VISITORS TO THE CLUB

PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU BRING A VISITOR TO PUT THEIR NAME AND PAY FOR THEM  THROUGH BOOKINGS. WE NEED TO KNOW WHO IS PLAYING AT THE CLUB. SOME MEMBERS ARE NOT DOING THIS SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU DO! YOU CAN ONLY BRING THE SAME VISITOR 3 TIMES AND THEN THEY MUST JOIN

EASY FUNDRAISING: DO YOU SHOP ONLINE? DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN HELP US RAISE FUNDS!

Thank you to the two new members to Easy Fundraising last month, we raised £5.30 in February.  Which is a great start towards our new Chairs & Cushions for the clubhouse. There are some great offers with month for Mothers Day & Summer Holidays, some stores have raised their contribution back to the club 3% on these purchases. For example if you spent £30, the club would get 90 pence back. Every penny helps!
