News Update
LAST FEW DAYS TO GIVE US YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE CLUB SURVEY
Please help the club to improve by filling out this very short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/X6KVMQY
Our club has been fortunate enough to be selected by the LTA to be part of the London and South East region’s focus club programme for 2016, and this is the first step in our involvement with the scheme.
This is a great opportunity for the Club to get some feedback from our members on how the club is doing and what you think we can do to improve.
The club that has the highest response rate will be rewarded with a £300 equipment voucher which is another great reason to complete the survey so we are in with a chance of winning! 🙂
Many thanks in advance for your support.

Hi!
Results as follows:
Kent Men’s 2 beat DL Beckenham. Team comprised Dan House (Captain), Francesco Donadio, Steve Gadd and Mylan Roberts. 4 wins out of 4! Well done champions!
That is it for the winter fixtures. Phew! Well done to our fixtures secretary Veronica McNamee for organising all the dates. Huge, huge task. Thank you to all team captains for selecting the teams and to all members for representing the club. We have had another successful winter. We have a month off in March now, before the summer fixtures start with a bang! Watch this space for further news.
Improved Access and New Decking Area
Please remember work will begin this week on our new and improved entrance and wheelchair access. Very exciting times for the club, as we look to access more funding opportunities for wheelchair tennis. The Board appreciates your understanding over the next few weeks as there will no doubt be some disruption.
Quiz Night
Saturday night saw another fantastic quiz night at the club with over 30+ people attending. Quiz Master Gill Moore did not disappoint, with some interesting questions! Well done to Endeavour, led by Andy House, who were crowned Shooters Hill Quiz Champions!
Adult Mini Red Tournament
Please note, as well as Mother’s Day this Sunday, Coach Matt Snow is organising an adults mini red competition to help raise money for Whizz Kidz. 10-12pm so time to get back for Sunday lunch and only £10 to enter. Please sign up using the sheet inside the clubhouse if you can make it. Good luck to Matt on the day. It should be fantastic!
Active Kids Voucher Collection
We have also started an Active Kids voucher collection. The more vouchers we collect, the more new sports and cooking equipment we can provide for the kids in our club.
You can collect vouchers in Sainsbury’s stores from 27 January – 3 May 2016. Thank you in advance for your support!
Kent LTA Awards Night
Finally, at the last count the club are taking 25 members to the upcoming Kent LTA Awards night on Saturday 12th March. This is an amazing effort from the club and all our members. It should be another cracking night! The venue has been given advance warning!
Many thanks, Club Captain Phil Layfield.
As mentioned previously, Matt Snow is organising and running an adult mini red tournament on Sunday 6th March 10-12pm:
As explained above, it’s £10 to enter with all proceeds going to Whizz Kids. There will be food and drinks available on the day, plus prizes for the winners! Please sign up again inside the clubhouse.
Many thanks, Club Captain Phil Layfield.
