Congratulations Alan Dye:
One of our members tied the knot last weekend and by the looks of it, they did it in style! Congratulations to Alan Dye. I hope you like the lovely photo. Wishing you both all the happiness together.
September American Tournament:
Our monthly AT saw 24 members compete with Matt and Maria Perfect coming out on top and taking home the trophies for the month! Well done to the Perfects!
MacMillan Coffee Day:
Thank you to all those people who made our first MacMillan fundraising day so successful and tasty! Over £300 was raised, which was a great effort by all involved. The winner of the cake competition was Josie Attard for her Shooters themed ‘chequerboard’ spong cake – well done Josie! Dominic Carrington secured second spot with his magnificent carrot cake, nice one Dom! The standard was very high making it very difficult for the judges to come to a final decision so many thanks go to Gill ‘Mary Berry’ Moore and Phil ‘Paul Hollywood’ Smith for taking this tough task on.
Our next one is on Saturday 1st October from 10.30am. I hope to see you all then.
Ladies Day:
Well done to Maria Perfect for organising the annual ladies day at the club. 14 ladies came together to compete and continued into the evening via the curry house!
Fast 4 Tennis:
We need you! Our men’s quarter final is this Sunday 2nd October at 11am at Shooters Hill LTC. All members and friends of the club are invited to come along to support the team and cheer them on to victory!
Many thanks.
Club Captain, Phil Layfield.
