Results as follows:

NK Ladies 1 have won Division B and will now play in the top division.  Well done to captain Maria Perfect and her team.

Kent Men’s 1 beat Beckenham in the Division 3 play off final and gain promotion.  Well done to captain Dan House and his team. Special mention to Luke House, Dave McGonigle, Tom Sippy and Rob Rowland (making his debut) for playing in the final.

Kent Mixed 1 beat Tunbridge Wells in the Division 5 play off final and gain promotion.  Well done to captain Francesco Donadio and his team.  Special mention to Matt Perfect, Jane Zinopoulos and Julia Smith for playing in the final.

Fast 4 Tennis:  Unfortunately our Men’s B team lost to Horsmonden A.  Our Men’s A team will now play them in the quarter finals at home on 2nd October.  Time tbc.  It would be great to see some of you there cheering on our team!

Thanks as always to all our members for representing the club over the summer months.  As you can see it was a very successful summer of results.  Bring on the winter season!

It has been great to see so many of you back on court this week. The coaching team and I have missed you all!  As you have probably seen or heard there have been some changes within the coaching team and certain squads, as well as additional sessions being added to the coaching programme.

These include the following sessions:

Wednesday 10-11.30am for all abilities.  Men and women.  Members and non members.  £6 for members and £8 for non members.

Sunday 9.30-10.30am for our ladies 2nd team and men’s 3rd and 4th team standard.  Invitation only to members for this session.  £3 for the hour, as the club is sunsidising the session.

Sunday 4-5pm cardio tennis.  All welcome to join this new and exciting exercise programme.  £5 members.  £7 non members.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Kate Green and Matt Snow who have left the coaching programme to pursue other adventures.  Both were valued members of the coaching team and we will miss them.  Matt will still be around the club and has recently been voted as our new Kent Men’s 2 captain.  Congratulations Matt!  Here’s to a successful first winter season for you and your team.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at the summer ball on Saturday night!

Many thanks.

Club Captain, Phil Layfield.
