TEAM TRIALS DAY – SUNDAY 28TH JANUARY

A team trials day has been scheduled for two weekends time on Sunday the 28th January from 11am to 1pm. Please put the date in your diary and if possible, book through the link in the news email, to give us and the Team Captains an idea on numbers. The session is for anyone wishing to be considered to join one of the Summer League Teams for the 2024 season.

JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAMME

If your not sure which level to book you child, please look at the coaching page as it explains the different levels and gives an approximation of ages for each level. Don’t forget your child needs to be a member to take part in the term time coaching, the Pro Rata Membership fees are available at present, please see the membership page for details. 🏆 PRESENTATION EVENING – SATURDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2024 🏆

The Club presentation evening is fast approaching and bookings are coming in at a steady rate, so don’t forget to book your place. It will be held Saturday 24th February at Shooters Hill Golf Club. Information was sent out last week on how to book your place and make you meal choices. So dust of those party shoes from Christmas and get ready for our biggest Social Event of the year. Not forgetting out guest of honour who will be giving out the Trophies, Sandi Procter LTA President, so make sure you have your camera’s ready to take some memorable photos! Deadline for booking your place is Friday 9th February. A junior presentation will also take place earlier in the evening.

Don’t forget to wrap up warm this week, thick frosts and snow are forecast with freezing temperatures too, stay warm everyone.

NORTH KENT

Mid Week Vets 2 beat Bromley LTC, this means (drum roll please) they are now the Champions of the North Kent Winter Division D. Awesome news, well done Team. Those playing last week were Dave Robertson, Hessam Khoshnevisan, Libby Tuson, Sandra Woodcock and Ashling Carroll.

Ladies 1 beat Park Langley 2 on Sunday. Team playing were Maria Perfect, Simone Korsgaard- Jensen, Natalie Ali and Di Robert’s.

Men’s 1 lost to Bromley Wendover 4-0. The team playing were Rich Fay, Fin Renwick, Tom Warburton and Viktor Petkov.

KENT

Mixed 2 lost 1-3 playing away to Broadstairs 2, in a close fought game in the freezing cold. Thank you to John Fielding who stepped in last minute, making his debut for this team. Also playing Rob Thomas, Jo Thomas and Ruthie Frost. Thanks for the photo as well, but Rob you look a little grouchy!!!!! 😮

Men’ 2 lost 1-3, against David Lloyd Kings Hill 4 at Home, it was a hard fought match in very cold conditions. The team playing were Aaron Ruby, Iain Goosey, Jason Barkworth & Jan Are Mo.
