NORTH KENT CUP -Saturday 27th / Sunday 28th April
On Saturday at 2.30pm Mylan Roberts and Finlay Renwick will be representing the club in the NK Cup Men’s Doubles competiton V Kemsing at home and on Sunday 28th April at 10am we will see Tom and Natalie take on a team from Chislehurst in the Mixed NK Cup event. They are playing at home from 10am, so a cheer squad of members would be appreciated if you are around for both matches.
INTERNAL MIXED TOURNAMENT SUNDAY 5TH MAY
A link will be sent out last week to all members to enable you to book. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 1st May 10am. Please ensure if you enter you are available for both the 5th May from 9am and the finals day Sunday 21st July.
HAVE YOU RENEWED YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Anyone playing at the club must have re-joined doing a form and payment. This applies to those on group coaching or individual coaching. Please bear with us, we are working as quickly as possible. Any queries email secretary@shltc.info who will answer when she can.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
– Membership is renewed through OUR Website from the membership page, NOT the Clubspark or LTA website. Clubspark is only for lessons, court & social bookings!
-If already a member you will already have a username and password. You can reset the password yourself, however, if you have forgotten your user name please email secretary@shltc.info. You will be replied to ASAP but remember it can take a few days, with so many to process at this time. New members can join completing the form through the website.
-When completing the form please be aware that if you choose to NOT be on the emailing list you will not be kept updated with all that happens at the club, such as the links to Socials, Monthly American Tournaments or Kids/Adult Courses. Therefore you will need to check the website regularly for the weekly news. We only email about tennis club matters and your details would never be shared.
-Once you have completed the form (you must put something in every field) You will receive a confirmation email with BACS details. However the BACS details are in the RED BOX , top right hand corner of the form, so you can make a note of them at that point as well, before you submit the form. (Once you have submitted a form you will receive an email with payment details (check your junk)
-Once the form and payment is received, Adult Members & 13 and over Children will receive an email to access court booking which you need to follow if your wish to be able to book courts and book onto socials (please check your junk box). This may take a few days in busy periods. All members will receive This Years Coloured Tag and a Welcome Letter which explains what is available at the club. North Kent
Mid Week Vets 2 lost 6-2 to Bromley Wendover 2 last week. Team Playing were Dave Robertson, John Fielding, Sandra Woodcock & Libby Tuson.
Over 60’s Men beat Sidcup Rec, 7-1. The team playing were Chris Clegg & Rob Thomas and Hessam Khoshnevisan & Jon Beaumont. A great start to the summer season.
Men’s 2 beat Gravesham 1, 9-3. A well deserved win the Captain reports from court, the team fought hard. The team playing were Iain Goosey, Joao Ribeiro, Jan Are Mo, Ricardo Pinheiro, Arvind Bassi & Alex Todd
National League
Ladies lost to Bexley, a great effort to the team, Well played Maria Perfect, Karen Attard, Ros McKeown & Tracy Davy.
Mens B defeated David Lloyd Dartford on Sunday, 5-1 rubbers. The team playing was Mark Plonka, Arvind Bassi, Alex Todd and Lee Cao.
