ANNUAL JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Well done to everyone that took part in last Monday’s Junior Club Competition and braved the unpredictable weather.

U9s Mixed – Orange Ball – Winner – Jesse W & Runner Up – Oscar M

U11s Mixed – Green Ball – Winner – Hadley R & Runner Up – Iancu C

U12 Boys – Winner – Henry & Runner Up – Hadley R

U12 Girls – Winner – Anna P & Runner Up – Chloe H

U14 Boys – Winner – Jai B & Runner Up – Henry R

WINTER TEAMS 2024/25

Fingers crossed for brighter weather this week for all our teams.

NORTH KENT

Men’s 2 lost to Blackheath 2 at Home. Three very close matches all went to championship tie breaks. The team playing were Tim Morgan, Matt Snellin, Mark Plonka & Arvind Bassi.

Men’s 5 lost to Bexley 3 at Home. Team playing were Aaron Ruby, Dave Robertson, Hessam Khoshnevisan & Neal Tuson.

Ladies 2 won 4-0 against Sundridge Park 4 Away on Saturday. The victorious team were Di Roberts, Marion Tourral Hopkins, Charmaine Ooi and Olivia Flynn. Big shout out to Olivia who made her debut on the team. Thank you for the photo.

Mixed 2 lost to Wickham Park 2 Away 0-8. Team playing was Neal Tuson, Sandra Woodcock, Rob Thomas and Tracy Davy. Thank you for the photo.

Men’s 4 drew with David Lloyd Dartford 2 Away. Exciting tennis to watch, 2 set tie breaks and 3 championship tie breaks, lots of close matches. Team playing was Jiggs Sahota, Chibuike Ejiegbu, Perry Rich and Jason Barkworth.

KENT

Men’s 1 beat Bexley 2 at Home. It was 2-2 in matches, but as both losses were championship tie breaks, we won 6-4 on sets. Team playing were Mylan Roberts, Gregoire Lucas, Sam Morgan and Rich Fay.

WALKING TENNIS‍ SESSIONS

Returns on Tuesday 12th November

Want to play tennis still but at a slower pace, recovering from injury or are you a complete beginner wanting a bit more time and practice in a supportive setting? Come and try Walking Tennis with us and bring a friend. It’s a slower game, where the ball can bounce twice, there is no jumping or running and you play with modified equipment. Sessions are restarting on Tuesday 12th November at 12noon till 13.00. £3 for members and £5 for non members. Go to Tom’s page on Clubspark to book a place: Next session is Tuesday 12th November.
