NEWS ON MONDAY 9th DECEMBER 2024

NEW FLOOD LIGHTS 

The Lights are finished and looking splendid. However not much use as yet due to this awful weather! We are looking forward to seeing how they perform, so we can consider installing them on the other courts. We will keep everyone updated over the coming months.

SSSHHHHH……..FATHER CHRISTMAS IS VISITING ON SATURDAY

Don’t forget Father Christmas is visiting this coming Saturday, around 10.15 ish, depending on flying conditions & storms!!  Further information has been e-mailed out to members, so please read that e-mail if you are intending to come and join in the festivities. Don’t forget you can bring other children in the family, not just those who are members. Refreshments for children will be provided. Adults can purchase mince pies, teas, coffees etc. We look forward to seeing you all there.

HAVE YOU MET OUR TENNIS CLUB ELF YET?

Have you met the Tennis Club’s newest member……Elf? He was meant for a family, but he got lost and ended up at the Tennis Club instead! We spoke to Father Christmas, and Elf going to stay with us till Christmas. So please help us look after him & keep him out of trouble. LADDER LEAGUE UPDATE

Just a reminder to everyone, the Clubs Ladder League is NOT linked to the LTA rankings, its part of the clubs social tennis program. There have been a couple of rule changes, this won’t effect the format of the ladder or games. The changes have been made to remove any ambiguity around the certain rules, as well as coaches enter the league at position 20 and finally an update to the admins ability to use their discretion to intervene if a situation should require them to.

Goodness yet another Storm and even more rain, has meant all matches were cancelled this week! Take care everyone.

WALKING TENNIS‍ SESSIONS

Want to play tennis still but at a slower pace, recovering from injury or are you a complete beginner wanting a bit more time and practice in a supportive setting? Come and try Walking Tennis with us and bring a friend. It’s a slower game, where the ball can bounce twice, there is no jumping or running and you play with modified equipment. Sessions have restarted on  Tuesdays at 12noon till 13.00. £3 for members and £5 for non members. Go to Tom’s page on Clubspark to book a place: Next session is Tuesday 12th November.
