Lovely to see so many people up at courts and playing tennis.

Please remember that only members can play at the club and NO VISITORS. Could members please cancel bookings if they no longer need leaving them available for others. People playing at the club MUST book courts beforehand.

Dear SHLTC Box League members and SHLTC members

On behalf of Shooters Hill LTC we would like to thank those who joined the 2020/2021 SHLTC FAST4 Box Leagues.

When created the idea of the FAST4 Box Leagues was to provide members of the club with a social competition that allowed singles and doubles players of all genders to compete against each other and experience different levels of tennis. We hope this competition brings this to you and that you make new friendships and rivalries along the way.

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response with a total of 47 singles players and 29 doubles teams joining the competition up to 14 June 2020. After the draw they players were divided into 9 singles groups honouring 9 tennis players (Agassi, Bartoli, Connors, Davenport, Edberg, Ferrero, Graf, Hingis and Ivanisevic) and 5 doubles groups honouring some of the tour’s opens (Auckland, Barcelona, China, Dubai and Estoril).

Due to the number of players that have joined we have extended the “play by” date for the first leg of the completion to 16 August 2020. This decision was made so players that are playing both singles and doubles have an opportunity to play all their group matches as well making best use of the courts.

We would like to say that we are still accepting new subscriptions to the competition, but these will only be placed in a group once a number of 4 to 6 players/teams join in. Please contact the club secretary if you wish to join: An administrator will contact you to explain further steps and answer any questions you may have.

Once again, if you want to know more about FAST4 and its rules please follow the following link:

With best wishes

Happy tennis everyone

The Directors and Box League admins.

This continues to increase with many new members. The booking system seems to be working well.

We are attending a Webinar during this week with the LTA  hopefully looking to start group coaching and encouraging people to play tennis.

The coaching programme is now able to offer shared lessons( this includes siblings, partners/couples from the same household as well as junior ans adults members from different households. Furthermore, adult members can access U3 and Me which involves 3 members from the same or different households with 1 coach.

Everyone must be a member to receive coaching. Please contact Head Coach Phil Layfield on 07815 927767 or email so he can help arrange lessons with the coaching team.

If anyone is interested in attending group coaching when we are able to start could you please email Phil on
