CLUB HOUSE TOILETS

Thank you everyone for your patience last week. As many of you know during the Club Tournament two weekends ago, we had to resort to flushing toilets with buckets! So the new ones have arrived just in time. As the club is open 365 days per year, choosing a date to do the work was never going to be easy, but we tried to get it done as quick as possible. The plumbers Guy & Grant worked 10 hours  the first day, to try and ensure we were without toilets for the shortest time possible. The new toilets are now in, working, and look great. They are more environmentally friendly in terms of how much water they use and also easier to clean! So I think you will agree a couple of day’s without has been worth it. A few more things to do before were finished.  I (Frances) have sourced a couple of lino off cuts for free rom a local store, to update the flooring in both toilets and this will be put down asap and the women’s toilet door will be re-hung so it opens outwards. In the mean time, please do lock the outer door to the ladies toilet instead!

NORTH KENT CUP – The Next Rounds

Ladies Singles when Romane played a very tight match against Meopham, narrowly loosing in a Championship tie break.

Men’s Vets Doubles, played in beautiful sunshine instead of all the rain.  Playing for us were Francesco & Lee, (thanks Lee for stepping up as Coach Dave was injured), sadly losing to Sundridge Park, who have won this title many years in a row!

Ros Mckeown and Maria Perfect put up a good fight against Sundridge Park in the ladies Vets doubles but unfortunately lost the championship tiebreak third set and Mylan and Greg also lost to Sundridge Park in the Men’s Doubles quarter final.

Ashling and Natalie however had a great win against Meopham in the ladies Doubles and now go on to the semi final and Richard Fay took a walkover to reach the Men’s singles semi final which will be against Kemsing.
